Craft*folK's Cardiff Christmas Market is set in the heart of the pedestrian area of Cardiff City Centre in St John Street, Working Street, the Hayes, Hills Street and Trinity Street.

Come and join us at our Christmas Market this year, where a real passion for tradition sometimes comes with a modern twist!

New area for 2015

We take pride in the quality of the businesses that exhibit with us.  Last year we had a rolling programme of over 130 individual business taking part. This year, following very positive talks with both Cardiff City Council and St David's 2, we are expanding the Christmas Market into another busy pedestrian area representing just the first phase of the expansion of the market which we hope will ultimately become the main destination for original gifts, complimenting the already exceptional Christmas shopping experience in our capital city.  With such a diverse range of high quality products we already have over 180 individual businesses taking part this year such as pewter work, heritage images of Wales and Welsh slate products,  metalwork, photography, hand built and thrown pottery, silver and precious stone jewellery, original textiles, traditional wooden items and toys, original art works and cards for all occasions, hand made candles, specialist knotting, up-cycled china wear and re-cycled textiles, glasswork, and needlework together with many original decorative items for the house and garden.

When shopping at the Cardiff Christmas Market you are viewing the products from a wide selection of local, predominantly Welsh, small businesses. Last year 90% of our exhibitors were true crafts people, 75% were Welsh, with 10% attributed to trade stalls.  Trade stalls are only available at our Christmas Market but, if accepted, the products must fit in with the ethos of the event.

As an alternative personal shopping experience, you can commission personalised gifts, sample the food and drink on offer or just enjoy a glass of mulled wine to keep you warm whilst browsing. Choose from a selection of whisky, wines, fruit and cream liqueurs, cheese, cupcakes, waffles, chocolate brownies and delicious hand-made chocolates.
